Former AC Milan Midfielder Line In To Replace Allegri

AC Milan are reportedly in contact with former player Clarence Seedorf in regards to coaching the first team.

Current coach Massimiliano Allegri is out of contract at the end of the year and President Silvio Berlusconi is unlikely to extend his contract.

According to Tuttosport, the relationship between Allegri and Berlusconi has become increasingly tense and a new coach could be appointed at the end of the season.

Seedorf is reportedly at the top of the list of candidates for the Rossoneri’s top job.

The Dutchman is currently playing for Brazilian club Botafogo but continues a strong relationship with Milan where he spent 10 years of his career.

His contract with the Brazilian club runs out in mid-2014, the same time as Allegri’s contract as coach ends.

Seedorf has expressed his interest in coaching the Rossoneri previously and has already undertaken some coaching courses.
